Google alerted me to this and it seems really gone now....last year, it came back up after a day or so but now....
I was wondering when that moment would come but find myself still disappointed now it has arrived.

I'm surprised you saw the site up so recently - it's been unavailable since Oct 2010 for me. I just got a page from Delaware.net instead. I guess eventually even the domain itself will expire, and then there will only be a gaping, silent void. I very much doubt that Apple would republish the old site, nor will they put up a redirect to apple.com, nor will they let someone else buy the domain.

Good thing we've begun to create an archive copy of the official website!

It would of course be nice if we could grab the fingerworks.com domain for this community, but I think the chances for that are infinitely small.

I sent a request to Apple asking whether they'd be prepared to let us have the domain and what conditions, if any, they'd put on the use of it. Maybe there is a chance
