I smell "New Coke"

Post by qwasty »

Fingerworks products are so spectacular, and they seem to be so sought-after since they disappeared that it seems strange a larger company would buy them and then shut down the product line, unless they were gearing up for a dramatic comeback like with "New Coke". Comments?

If I recall, 'New Coke' was a complete disaster. Which is why they (Coke) reverted to Coke Classic.

Which would be fine by me, or with a 'New TouchStream'.

the point is that when people lose what they thought would always be around, they go crazy buying it when it becomes available again. New Coke wasn't planned that way, it was dumb luck that such a colossal mistake could be so profitable. Now it's in all the standard MBA marketing texbooks.

Wouldn't a Chinese company just be cranking out the products?
