Forum is currently partially broken! - FIXED!

Post by TorbenGB »

What's wrong?
Some of you might have noticed that the forum is partially broken:
- it's not possible to register as a new user
- it's not possible to submit posts and replies
Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't.

What's being done about it?
I'm talking with phpBB support about how to fix this, and several things have already been tried without success.
I'm still pursuing this, of course, so hopefully there will soon be a permanent fix in place.

Can I use some kind of workaround?
Sometimes, it helps if you clear your cookies and your browser session information, perhaps even close and reopen your browser, or use a different browser or even a different computer.
Sometimes you just have to click that Submit button many times fast.
Sometimes none of this works, and sometimes it works correctly a few days later (all by itself?).

Update: This has now been fixed.

I don't know if it means anything whatsoever, but I never had those errors you describe in your discussion on the Phpbb forum. I've just posted this reply and one in Repairing iGesture pads topic without any problem.

I use Avant browser (meaning IE7 dll's)

Just try any wqmjk@rlgpyf.com address -- it's not important, we just want to see if the registration works.

Betty managed to register now (welcome!) so I'd say it works :)

...then...
You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password.
The genuine email address is there for this very reason... Now, testUser1 dead entry should be deleted.
