And check the shipping charge! Maybe he/she just bought a new PSP -- and needs to recoup funds -- fast!

Update on Yahoo Touchstream Dvorak Sales...
This line was added to my purchase listing:
"Amazon Export Sales, Inc. " Before, it was blank, or maybe just said "Amazon".
Now I'm wondering if these keyboards had been designated for sale outside the US, so now they set up a company at Amazon to clear them. Thoughts, anyone?
[BTW, it still hasn't shipped.]

Would anyone care to comment on usability of the Norwegian/Danish layout?
Daniel.

Daniel.

You can also paint the whole surface in black like this:

<img title="SadKeyboard!" src="http://www.daskeyboard.com/images/face-profile.jpg">
This is not Danish but Norwegian: the placement of the Æ and Ø keys are swapped, everything else is the same. Here is an image of the actual layout, from the FW official website:aegis wrote:care to comment on usability of the Norwegian/Danish layout?

There is also a larger version of this image.
I have a TSLP (DK) myself, and being Danish it's great for me. If you're neither Danish nor Norwegian, then nevermind. As Ivan said, you should not be looking anyway, but if you do, you will be rather confused.
There are many sublte differences between US and DK/NO layouts, especially with keys like %&$()<>'*^~´` so if you use these and don't know them by heart, you're in for a challenge!
Added: Here are more layouts:

Thanks for the information, I've been doing a bit of research myself. It seems to me that the differences aren't insurmountable.
Most of my typing is based around alphanumerics and the programmers punctution pad which I seem to use instinctively.
I was thinking this may make a good backup keyboard that will not go for a rediculous price (unless I get in a bidding war with Torben
).
Daniel.

is a US Qwerty MacNTouch ending Feb 1st. I'm posting this for John who can't register because the forum is partly broken at the moment.

just maybe...
If it is built like my silver MacNTouch, then you could just change the cable. Would have to remove the tabs too...
Apparently the cable is a copper foil ribbon on Kapton tape. It has 4 traces with the same pitch as the USB standard and terminate on one end in a 20 pin 1mm pitch for the ZIF socket inside the board.
Looking at the L board and the cable that goes from the board INTO the L board you do not NEED the 20 pin milling. Just a ribbon with 4 traces at the right pitch should work everywhere.

Re: just maybe...
I would love to find a way to non-destructively replace the short cable on the white MacNTouch with a longer cable (copper foil ribbon, as you say). Removing the tabs in pretty easy with a metal file (needed to do what with my original MacNTouch that had a too long tab at the top).Minox wrote:If it is built like my silver MacNTouch, then you could just change the cable. I would love to be able to reuse my old white MacNTouch, either in another laptop or stand-alone.

Canceled Touchstream on eBay 03-15-07
That is a different one. There were two on Wednesday; one from Montreal, and one from Iowa.
