XWinder Source

Postby The00Dustin » 24 Dec 2005, 00:49

I seem to remember the XWinder source being available for developers. Could someone post this to the downloads section or point me to a downloadable copy of it? Thanks!

Everything is in the setupfw160.exe file that you can download from the install page on FingerWorks site.
It is an archive file that, with the help of a smart tool like WinRAR, you can search, and find:
  • InstalerData/Disk1/InstData/Resource1.zip
...which contains (among many other files)...
  • C_/dk/sdk/XWinder/src/...
But I think that if you proceed with the installation, you will get the src folder under the FingerWorks program directory like I do:
Code: Select all
common/XWinderCalcs.c
macosx/English.lproj/InfoPlist.strings
macosx/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib/classes.nib
macosx/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib/CVS/Entries
macosx/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib/CVS/Repository
macosx/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib/CVS/Root
macosx/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib/info.nib
macosx/English.lproj/MainMenu.nib/keyedobjects.nib
macosx/English.lproj/MainMenu~.nib/classes.nib
macosx/English.lproj/MainMenu~.nib/info.nib
macosx/English.lproj/MainMenu~.nib/keyedobjects.nib
macosx/Info.plist
macosx/InspectorApp.h
macosx/InspectorApp.m
macosx/InspectorWindow.h
macosx/InspectorWindow.m
macosx/main.m
macosx/version.plist
macosx/XWinderShell.h
macosx/XWinderShell.m
macosx/XWinder_Prefix.pch
win32/LimitSingleInstance.H
win32/resource.h
win32/XWinder.aps
win32/XWinder.rc
win32/XWinderShell.c

Could you tell what you are up to :?:

Wow, that was incredibly easy to get to. I'm surprised I didn't already know it was there (or that I forgot). I was discussing indirect window manipulation with a colleague, and I realized that I had readily available open source data that he could dig into to better understand how it works. If he were a programmer, I'd be pushing for a Linux version of XWinder, but as he isn't, I am just providing him with some sample code to explore.
