Strangely, the exact same thing DOES work with the 4-fingers spread Window Manipulation gesture, as well as with the PgUp/PgDn & Home/End spread gesture; whereas it does NOT work at all again with the 2-fingers Text Pointing gesture.

Just for the record, since parts of this thread seemingly have been deleted for some reason.

I just ran into the same problem again, and luckily was able to find the culprit according to the title of this thread.

The problem was, I was going to assign an action to the Thump+Pinky(R Spread) gestures "put fingers down" and "lift fingers up", respectively.

However, the "put fingers down" and "lift fingers" gestures didn't work at all -- until I additionally added the "Rotate Hand Clockwise" gesture to the Thump+Pinky(R Spread) gesture set like shown below, however without actually assigning any action inside that "Rotate Hand Clockwise" gesture.

Anyway, after adding the empty "Rotate Hand Clockwise" gesture, the other two gestures "put fingers down" and "lift fingers" worked as intended.

It certainly looks like some posts are missing, but I really doubt they were deleted intentionally. Regardless, thanks for posting your solution. It is certainly obvious in hindsight, but also easy to see why it took so long to stumble across it.

I saw in the forum list that there were new posts here but I am puzzled as to what's going on. It really looks like several threads are missing some posts! I have no idea how this happened - the server and forum software has not been touched for a looong time.

This problem must have happened within the past few days though because I was here just the other day and didn't see anything like this.

Please post follow-ups to this issue in the "about this forum" forum.
