cursor wobble

Postby qwasty » 15 Oct 2005, 20:33

I've noticed that if I put my finger in 1 Particular Place on my igesture, the cursor wobbles up-and-down vertically. It's much worse if I only use one finger instead of two for normal pointing. Diagnostics come out OK. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Also I forgot to mention that every now and then the cursor seems to jump around several inches on my screen, or even halfway across it. It's probably related.

Where is that "1 Particular Place"? Is it between 'keys'? It may be you are right on the boundary between cells and its having a hard time making up its mind.

I'd also guess, though I'm making a big leap here, but you might be getting static build up. The alternative is your board may be deteriorating and some circuits are shorting out.

Personally, I'd prefer the former.

It must've been a static problem. I just moved it to a new spot on my desk and its back to normal. thanks for the advice.

Headphone cords and cell phones have been noted to cause strange behavior even ghost behavior.
