I made it myself with a MacNTouch that had no ribbon cable.
I use it everyday with my 17" MacbookPro Unibody... It sits right over the built in keyboard and have all my gestures back. Too bad apple changed how the keyboard installs in the macbook line. It's nice having a USB port to make up for the one the MacNTouch utilizes.

If anyone wants a DigiTouch or MacNTouch converted in a similar way (completely reversible) let me know... Cost is $120 and you have a very slim, very light, external multitouch keyboard... Silver surface looks really nice too BTW and matches the current Mac lineup.

WOW! That is some absolutely amazing modding, extremely elegantly done.
This is the new iType that I predicted Apple will launch next year, but you're ahead of them by a long shot!
It's plain awesome that you did this, and fantastic that you offer the same to others. I do have a Digitouch that would be made so much better through your mod. I would have to decide whether I'd want the Dvorak layout or Qwerty though. I'm not ordering yet, but what would your price be including shipping to Europe/Austria?

I wonder what the MacNTouch would look like when built onto an "Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad" instead? Would that even work, given that your idea probably meant killing the keyboard's USB connection in order to use it for the MacNTouch instead? Or are you simply using one of the keyboard's built-in USB ports?
How did you do this mod? Did you just remove the keys and tape the MacNTouch to the top, or is this more involved?
I recently purchased a MacNTouch with USB extender and a Apple Aluminum wired keyboard, so I should have most of the parts necessary to move forward. I'd love some help or suggestions. Yours looks adorable.
