Please ken would you care to explain why would Apple care about it?
Anyway this is exactly why we took the time to archive all those pages. Nothing lost, Torben has everything and I do as well...
- Mr Apple?
BTW: PhpBB sites are also well known to be candies for our little hackers in their anal phase.
Just have a look at the bottom of this page!

Apple bought FW; they just havent said it out loud. so, it's their site technically.

Sorry, I am a little dense. Now I understand you were talking about the FingerWorks forum, not the Fingerfans forum.
Whew, good thing we did save that archive here on fingerfans -- and it does look like I should spend some time tonight to get those missing bits (archive, wiki) fixed ASAP, huh?
I would like to ask everybody to:
1) forgive me for being slow to restore this partly broken service (but at least the forum is running!)
2) PLEASE continue to bug me about it until I get it fixed!! (Unfortunately I can't delegate this task to somebody else simply because fingerfans is in the same hosting plan as a few personal sites that I don't want others to have access to.)

"...you were talking about the FingerWorks forum...."
yeah i bet you where wondering what the heck i was saying then!

The wiki is back online, and the archive is being uploaded anew as I write this (it will probably take a few hours to complete).
My sincere apologies to everyone who has been waiting. This should not happen again, as long as I don't meddle with things. So little work was needed, it's embarrassing that it took so long!
PS: It may very well be true that phpBB forums are popular hacker targets, and I'll try to make sure that this forum stays on the most recent software release, or at least reasonably recent. Let me know if I fall too far behind!

For what it's worth, it remembers registered members...
I could even log in and it recognized me. Even my subscribed forums!
Sort of restored petrified peace of web.

Still can't post there, though
and not even allowed to edit our own posts anymore....
Petrified is the right word; what a pity
