Wow.
That's not it. It's not Apple. But it's beautiful and I want it. 

This doesn't work the same way as our touch streams.

I think the screen is backlit with a projector and is not an LCD. The side LED must be a different color of light (IR probably, most likely pulsed) and the backscatter is measured with a camera located back where the projector is. Which means it really IS scalable to very large installations... just pull the projector and camera back and use a bigger screen.
Using a Touch-Stream since December 2003.
