Silver Touchstream LP QWERTY for sale

Postby tonycpsu » 29 Aug 2006, 04:40

I'm selling my Fingerworks Touchstream LP keyboard, and figured I'd try here first before dealing with EBay. It's serial #8306-8430. I am the original and only owner of this unit, and have treated it very well.

It's in very good condition, passes diagnostics, etc. and is loaded with the last available firmware. I don't have the original box, but I can probably try to dig up the manuals and CD if you really need them.

The little felt thingies on the wrist pads are guides that I used for keeping my hands centered, and the nub in the middle of the tent stand keeps the keyboard centered. If you don't like these "customizations" you can remove them (the felt is glued on, so it will probably leave some discoloration.)

The last Touchstream LP auction I saw ended at around $550, so I'll sell mine for $450 or best offer. I would like payment via Paypal if at all possible.

Pictures are linked below. PM me here if you are interested. Thanks!

I recognize you from the old forums. Why the decision to sell? Found a suitable replacement perhaps? I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants to know, and I hope for your sake that it's not because you need the money.

My decision to sell mostly comes down to typing speed. My Touchstream speed peaked at about 80% of my speed on a conventional keyboard, and that's not enough for what I do for a living. With my job asking me to do more things that involve a lot of typing, I just couldn't keep up, and had to switch back to a normal keyboard. For a while I switched between the two depending on what tasks I was involved in, but at this point, I'm not getting enough use out of the Touchstream to justify keeping it. So, here I am. :)

No takers at $500, so I'm dropping the price to $450 or best offer. After that, I guess I'll have to head to EBay.

If the offer's still good, I'll buy it for $450. Email me at chrisspen at gmail dot com and we'll work out the details.
