FW TSLP Dvorak sold for more than $1500...

The prices for these rare items are soaring. Yesterday, this bid on eBay won an auction of a Dvorak TSLP with the price of $1580.

To me, such a price is just plain scary. Putting aside the fact somebody would (and could) pay so much for a keyboard, it's remarkable that there is so much demand.

Note that one buyer, "cilibrar", almost doubled the bid from 685 to 1113 USD. That didn't bring him the victory, though.

Yeah, I saw that yesterday. Emailed the auction around to some other people I know who own/use these input devices.

Insanity, I say.

I think it was just some morons on drugs that got caught up in the moment. I figure when they come down and realize what they did, they'll renege on the deal.

On the other hand, just a couple of weeks ago, one auction ended without a bid with the minimum at $500.

Auctions are like that, people get crazy and lose it, they just have to keep bidding and bidding. It's like the gambler whose lost nearly everything and keeps at it convinced just one more hand or throw of the dice will do it.

A few days before this auction ended, it seems someone got a good deal on a Buy It Now.

I need to check out the auction sites more often, methinks.
