For a quick cleaning, a couple of times a day, I use 3M high performance cleaning cloths without anything. They are amazing. I use them to clean my LCD screens and almost everything else that requires a bit of care but needs to get clean. Only cautions are they do pick up other stuff which can then ...

Its been up for half a day now and only 1 bid for $10. I am amazed. Either the bottom has fallen out of the FW market or everyone is waiting to the last minute. Despite my admitted hoarding of these boards and what it will cost me for my wife's consent, I'll gladly pay $300, perhaps more (depends on...

I am not so sure about FW being profitable. I believe that was once reason they sold out. If they had been profitable I think they would have stayed in business. Apple is probably OK, maybe even quite good but being your own boss in what you have created is priceless. I may be reading the boys wrong...

Petition the Apple with Prayer

I will personally guarantee at least 5000 signatures. If the doctors say my hand is still OK after that, maybe more. Maybe someone can come up with a signature generator to help out. I am assuming the need is for different looking signatures, otherwise I could just crank up the copier and go for it....

Just goes to show FingerFans are utterly mad and totally unpredictable.
Which, in my not so humble opinion, is a good thing. Thanks for the pics thenn.

I would guess it would have to be something with some conductance, I just tried using just my fingernails, they don't work. (I have relatively long nails for a male). I would guess any sort of metal would work. But I would be concerned about scratching the surface. You must have very sensitive skin ...

I tried it with my wife and it works. Holding hands we could do mousing with two fingers on either side of the board. Not touching it wouldn't work. The cursor did jerk about some. Couldn't touch letters either. At least not when both of us were touching the surface. Didn't get into any more further...

Fingerworks are based on differences in capacitance, I believe. So its not just your fingers, its your whole body. You can use knuckles too, though its a bit awkward. You can also use one finger from each hand, side by side. The board recoginzes a pattern. That's really the magic involved, the capac...

Aloha ivan, yeah, we have been having good trades this summer. Actually, in contrast to the rest of the world, we've been having an unusually cool summer. It was also an unusually wet winter. Unfortunately, the only wind has been the atmospheric kind, the financial sort seems to have gone elsewhere....

I find there is a gradual but steady build up of gunk on my boards. Very gradual but very steady. I need to wipe mine clean about once every two to three months or I notice loss of keys that don't get used much, especially those near keys that do.

Aloha Again from Hawaii

Hi Folks, I'm back. Yep, this is good old Rqyteqto, back again after a rather unpleasant hiatus. I couldn't get my old password to work and my old email no longer applies. So no way to update the password. Ah well, fortunately, every serious cybertraveler has at least a couple of nicks. I had a roug...
