Did Peter also direct you to this site, and have you secretly been reading, or is it a new discovery? Are you still using your device(s?) and how much?

Very good of you to offer the devices up here first. I hope they find a good new home!

From your wording it almost sounds as if you're going to colonize Mars? ;-)

custom external MacNTouch (Qwerty)

Here's a special keyboard for sale on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fingerworks-Custom-MultiTouch-Keyboard-/331405175544 This product seems familiar! Minox(one of our site members) is building these beauties -- and apparently one of them is now being sold (or re-sold). I also added this to my Ebay s...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

Thank you Max! I'm a facilitator - what I do best is help others be great, so it's a pleasure to see this site being helpful to users. I only have an uncomfortable suspicion that there aren't very many actual users left, and that's a pity. Not because of this site, but because it's a product without...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

Can you extract the configuration of a keyboard attached to a PC using the utilities and then apply it to another keyboard? Sorry - this is a one-way street :? You can only upload your XML file to the keyboard, but I've never heard of any method to download it back to the computer. That would be ve...

Re: TLSP (US Qwerty) on Ebay for $30

The auction ended at a whopping USD 560 ... ! I'm thinking that I should start tracking the ending bids for these auctions. So far I've usually only posted when an auction starts, but not what the result was. Perhaps a shared Google document, to make some nice stats? edit: here is a file I started ....

Database outage - resolved

Hi guys, just to let you know, we had an outage just now because I changed the database password but didn't update the forum configuration at the same time. Because this forum runs off of that database, changing the password obviously broke the forum. But as you can see, all is well again. now that ...

device it disappears from the VM (goes into DFU mode). The VM software can see this USB device but it cannot map it to the VM OS, it says it's busy. Hmm, I vaguely remember running WinXP in some virtualization tool (wasn't Sun VirtualBox) on Win7 and I noticed this effect too -- the FW device prese...

USB TypeMatrix 2030 on Ebay

Ebay is currently listing this TypeMatrix 2030 for $15. It seems to be mint condition and has blank keycaps so one could use some of their silicone overlays with any desired layout.

I'm just sharing this. I have no affiliation whatsoever.

Re: I'm Baaaaack.

So the programming software does not work on, say Windows 7 or 8? Well, haha, the software works but what fails is Java's USB interface, so you can't deploy your configuration to the device, nor can you check the device status and surface sensors. Yeah, I know, same result... bummer indeed! What wo...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

You're so close! I'm sure you can make it work without having to dig up a separate physical computer: cannot apply changes to the keyboard because of the USB issue when the keyboard is rebooted The FW keyboard identifies as one device in normal operation but as another one while it's being programme...

Our download center (http://fingerfans.dreamhosters.com/download/) has this PDF (http://fingerfans.dreamhosters.com/download/TouchStreamBooklet.pdf and the four-corner touch is described on pages 16-19: four-corner touch + Shift-V switches to Dvorak, and four-corner + q gives you Qwerty. Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

How can I get the V1.6 utilities installed? Since we don't have v1.6 including Java, I would first install v1.53 including Java and then install v1.60 excluding Java afterward. You should end up with the new FW version and the Java version from the previous FW package. Have you tried that? Did it w...

Re: device is dead, only lasted 8 years!

As much as I hate to say this, our devices have become very cheap on Ebay these days. They used to sell for many, many hundreds of dollars (even as high as $2000!) but no longer. So if all else fails, you can probably get a "fairly cheap" replacement from Ebay. Or check in our marketplace forum. Or ...

Hi David!
O man I'm sorry t hear that you're still troubled by this. I haven't had any similar experiences and no ideas to help you on.
Do you have more than one FW device, and if so is only that one affected? That could reveal whether it's a device problem or operation.
