I need your help ... Could somebody please try to attach a file to that page? Ivan just added a lot more details, and I've moved those around to match the existing format. All, please keep the contributions coming! And let's use this thread for coordinating this effort. It seems to me that the Finge...

"0 kb" just means no limit. I've set it to 100MB now, should be enough... retry, abort, fail?

Wow Ivan, that's a great introduction to "FWXML"!! We should distill this forum post into a sort of manual FWXML, so that we have a useful reference point.

I've started this page:
bin/view/Main/XmlManual
and I would like everybody's help to complete it.

There is no question one can reprogram the various keys laid out anyway you want. I agree. If you're clever enough to feel at home with the raw XML configuration file behind the FW software, you could probably do pretty good magic right there. The software lets us configure the surfaces easily, but...

Viable? Yes and no. Yes, if you suffer from RSI then anything is better than a mechanical keyboard so there would be a number of alternatives out there. But don't start comparing to a TS because it's not relevant anymore ... unless you can afford $600+ on eBay. No, if you don't suffer from RSI and j...

get two iGestures working like one TS, it would be almost as good. ... As best I can tell, the boards are all functionally similar, except for the size and number. A great idea! I guess the only thing that makes the TS Different is that the two halves can work together -- when you use a modifier ch...

Are you aware that this key exists twice? One is called "\|" and the other is called "NonUS \|" and the latter is probably what you're looking for?

The FW touchpads are not pressure sensitive. But they seem to be because they measure the contact area and deduce a pressure meaning from the size of the contact area.

Hi Doctor :-) First of all, welcome to the FingerFans community. You've come to the right place for sure, since FingerWorks (FW) is basically history. I would advise you to keep an eye on eBay to find a TouchStream (TS). You should be able to pick one up for $500-700, but of course with bidding you ...

Yep, Ivanw suddenly disappeared: posts, member profile and all. It's not any of our doings, and it's certainly not intentional! We're trying to figure out what happened, and see if we can a) bring Ivanw back and b) stop this from happening again, if there's a risk of it. Don't necessarily expect a f...

I'm still not sure how to operate the gesture editor, but if you open it up and find the right-hand two-finger gesture, you can see what it does.
Shouldn't it be possible to simply put the same settings to the left-hand two-finger gesture?

To the untrained ear (mine) it sounds like the ribbon cable is coming loose. Either you can fix it with luck, by wiggling the cable a bit to put it back in place, or you need to consider fixing it for real, which is not that easy now that the FW support can't be counted on. Look in this forum -- the...

Since Ivanw brought it up, I thought I'd post a short comment here where it seems proper. Last week I moved to Vienna with my fiancée. She's from here, that's why. We've been living in Copenhagen (where I'm from) for some time, and now it's time to try her home base for some time, too. So I quit my ...
