Re: Touchstream (pref DVORAK)

Hi Lee, Yes it's still available. As I mentioned, it's regular US QWERTY in purple, complete in original packaging. I bought it for USD 500 and would accept to sell it for the same price, plus shipping. I can send you some photos so you can see it's in good condition. You can also mail me at torben@...

Re: A New Hope

Every single time I see an Ebay auction for a FingerWorks device, I contact the seller and ask them post a link to this site. It's a nice service to the future owner, and it might even help the seller by showing that users can still get support on these devices. It's not much in the way of marketing...

Re: 3D Printed Keyboard Stand

Those look very nice indeed! I'm guessing you have some kind on non-slip sticker underneath them, right? Could you export that 3D shape into a standard format and upload it here so that others can benefit from it? I have zero experience with 3D printers but I imagine there must be something analogou...

A New Hope

I've come across the CleanTalk anti-spam service that is: 1) extremely effective on my blog that was also inundated with spam comments and spam registrations, 2) very affordable: only $8 per year . I'd like to use the service for this forum as well. The plugin is now installed but it's not activated...

Re: Touchstream (pref DVORAK)

"Cheap" is relative these days, I'm afraid. Ebay have them listed every once in a while, and the prices are all over the place. Luckily for the buyers, the record-high prices of $1400 are no longer the case. I have a spare TLSP that I bought used for $500, although it's not Dvorak -- it's ...

Re: Digitouch in Samsung 500T docking keyboard

This is amazing! Much better than "MS Surface" for sure :-) How did you make the USB connection work? I'm guessing that the existing keyboard (which you removed) was obviously already USB and you just reused that connector. How is the tablet linked with the keyboard, is there some sort of ...

Re: What is the typing surface made of?

Removing the lexan might be tricky. I know from the Digitouch that I received disassembled that the lexan is adhesive, so I expect that regular TSLP's have it glued on. The sensor board is pretty sturdy so pulling the lexan off it probably won't hurt it - but I don't think the lexan can be used agai...

It seems that some posts are missing from this thread. I've made a post about this problem in the "about this forum" forum. Please post any follow-ups over there.

Missing posts?!

Problem: It seems that in the past few days, something has happened that is causing several posts, in several threads, to be missing. I have not yet analyzed anything about this. It would be interesting to know whether the posts are completely missing from the database, or if they exist but aren't b...

Re: Custom "3 fingers search and middle click" gesture

I saw in the forum list that there were new posts here but I am puzzled as to what's going on. It really looks like several threads are missing some posts! I have no idea how this happened - the server and forum software has not been touched for a looong time. This problem must have happened within ...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

When it doesn't show up in the client OS, it's probably because it's only known to the host OS and the host just tells the client that there's a standard mouse&keyboard attached - and you have those. Are you using a VM tool that is standard in Win7? I would not expect that to have the mapping fu...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

However, there's still the problem that the Fingerworks hardware is not recognized inside the virtual XP machine. Well, I seem to remember that I had this working once, using WinXP on a Sun VirtualBox with Win7 as host system -- but I don't have any facts about this anymore! :( But the crux of the ...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

Thank you Max! I'm a facilitator - what I do best is help others be great, so it's a pleasure to see this site being helpful to users. I only have an uncomfortable suspicion that there aren't very many actual users left, and that's a pity. Not because of this site, but because it's a product without...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

Can you extract the configuration of a keyboard attached to a PC using the utilities and then apply it to another keyboard? Sorry - this is a one-way street :? You can only upload your XML file to the keyboard, but I've never heard of any method to download it back to the computer. That would be ve...
