Well, FW was bought by another company and since the technology is the only thing they want (and maybe the key developers), they aren't going to give that up. I think they is a near rumor going around that is implying that FW went out of business; that is not true. they got bought out by a huge comp...

Yes, it will slow down your typing (I think the theoretical limit is about 90 wpm). But if you're not secritarial kind of speed you should be able to get it back. But with gestures, you will see the kind of ground-level increase in productivity that is simply imposible with 99% of all other keyboard...

Personally, i look for Apple or HP to incorporate it into the laptop getting rid of the little mousing area that is so annoying.

I think it just started to hit critical mass but there are some drawbacks (ie typing speed tops out at about 90wpm). It would have been interesting to see where this would have gone if they hadn't beet bought out by some mysterious company who has yet to un-NDA the entire staff of FW (including the ...

I'm with ivanw . The company that has "bought" (note past tense), has really screwed this whole thing up. I can't imagine a worse transition in business. I'm looking for an appology on the front-page of the website from the new owners before I'll feel comfortable about FW again. Why all the secrecy ...
