RSI
Hi guys, I figured that some of you would have an rsi condition similar to mine and was wondering if you had come across any methods for relieving the pain? I have had tenosynovitis for the last 6 years. It has improved a lot, but I think it could improve some more. Things that have helped me are: w...

gravity chair
Hi Rafh, I was wondering if you had seen the gravity chair from stokke? http://www.varierfurniture.com/product.asp?p=Gravity&la=EN&na=UK I use one at home, and am able to lean right back in it. You can change your position from kneeling, to sitting, to leaning back and many positions inbetween. It a...

Thumb + 3 Fingertips cant exceed 25.0 slide motion
I set up a middle drag mouse gesture with Thumb + 3 Fingertips, but I cant set the drag motion speed higher than 25.0. I wanto to set it to 250 like I do with regular mousing.
It doesn't work with Spread Thumb + 3 Fingertips either.
Is there anything I can do?

Posture
does anyone find that using their touchstreams alters their posture? I am finding that having my hands so close together is bringing my shoulders forward and rounding them. This in turn is shortening my pec muscles which constantly need stretching. I would look into lengthening the ribbon connector,...

jobs more suited to touch technology
I was wondering what software out there you have found works quicker and easier using gestures? For me 'Opera' web browser works really well with gestures as I can zoom in and out of web pages, scroll up and down etc I was thinking of what job I could do in the graphics industry that would benefit f...

any improvements to workflow?
Hi Torben, did you notice any benefits for us fingerworks users? ie I imagine the new search function will mean that it will be possible to find and open files simply by typing them and therefore not have to use the mouse. ie -four finger 2 handed tap on home row, would bring up the search option -t...

ok, so what would be the easiest thing to do? Would it be easy to go in and add mac to: <MacroRefEvent> should I change it to be: <MacroRefEvent> ...you can remove the attribute="value" pair altogether to make the gesture independent of any OS. You can also add mac to those that are currently only q...

well Ivan, I have checked through both forum sites and there seems to be little that I can relate to with regards to swapping OS's. I was wondering if you would be able to have a go with my gestures at swapping between different OS modes to see if you get the same problem? I have noticed that it has...

OS mode switching oddities
Hello, I am experimenting with switching between different os modes - specifically holding a different mode (any) and then going back to windows when I release. The trouble is seems to be screwing with the thumb clicking (outside game It does this with emacs/mac/linux mode (not sure how to access cu...

duration (ms)
Hi Ivan, I tried mskey.exe and it doesnt seem to be displaying the left Alt release on lift at all! It seems to be treating the gesture as a simple alt rather than an alt WITH DURATION. I can see this clearly when I let go as the windows menu at the top is activating (which is what normally happens ...

Hello, Ive just got a new machine and one of my gestures doesnt seem to be working properly as it does with my home machine. The gesture is: Search & Middle Click/Drag on right hand 'release' which I have set to 'Left Alt' with a duration of 50. This enables me to orbit in maya after panning with 2 ...

ok, Ive managed to do something. Its far from perfect, but it will speed up a lot of the usual day to day numbers that I end up typing in maya/photoshop. These are all on Thumb + 1 Fingertip, left hand (for the moment): . = chord tap 1 = chord hold (350 minimum hold time) 0 = rotate hand clockwise (...

Freaks don't play around things that demand this much effort to get involved. oh so true ! :D I am also very interested by what curious TS users like you have to report about this emerging interaction means. I dream of an operating system designed purely around gestures. Imagine that.....mmmmmm :) ...
