contacting apple
Now that we all know - I suggest we all go on Apple Forums and log into the iPhone forum. Ask Apple to put the multitouch products back into production. I did it this morning. More responses would carry more weight. Thanks for considering this proposal.

Iy I end up owning it...
If I end up owning the keyboard, I'll take it apart and have the engineering company help me with the circuit board if repairable. I couldn't get any sign of life from it.
Thank you for your input.

Hello from Bozeman, Montana
Thank you to all who are part of this site. My name is Connie and Touchstream keyboards have made the difference for me to be able to keep working. (It was the mouse that did it!!) I switched to Dvorak about a year ago and that helped tremendously too. My touchstream at work shorted out about three ...

Has anyone else had static buildup with packing material?
I bought a touchstream online. The seller sold it believing it was working. When it arrived, it was dead. It was packed in bubble wrap (not the anti static variety though) and the rest of the box was filled with the peanuts that you can't get off your hands because of the static electricity. It was ...

reset
The reset does not seem to be working. I tried both hands on the touchpads 5 times, but nothing seems to change. The mouse makes the little diamond each time. There was no change in the error message with the previous version of 1.6.

Thank you Ivan
Thank you and I will give others time to respond. In the meantime, I did hear from the seller and he has asked me to test it on another machine which I will do. He has agreed to have me mail back to him if it still doesn't work. He would then test it and if it is still not functional, he would retur...

mousing with linux
I just set up a new linux box with CentOS. The OS recognizes the touchstream but I can't control the mouse at all. As soon as I touch the board, it moves all over the screen opening and closing multiple windows. Any ideas? In order to navigate I have had to add a P2 mouse.

The board seems to be completely dead. If the seller refuses to give me my money back, I might try opening it, but $450 really has set me back financially. However, I was hoping to find out if he might have shipped it in working condition and the cold weather might have affected it. It will be his w...

what does this diagnostic mean?
I am not aware of any problems with my touchstream. I upgraded the firmware from 1.55 to 1.6 this morning. Yet it shows 80 errors. ERROR: Found 80 bad sensors ERROR: Run Diagnostics again, keeping surface free of hands and liquids. ERROR: If sensor ERRORs persist, contact support@fingerworks.com Som...

Could cold have damaged my unit?
I just bought an advertised touchstream on EBay. The seller said it was in perfect condition and the computer would recognize it right away. I already had the multitouch utility installed and it does not recognize a fingerworks device. If fact, I get a keyboard error when I boot up. It was packed we...

what does the diagnostic mean?
The diagnostic on my touchstream LP/ST say there are 80 bad sensors and it shows a series of L's on the beginning of part c and and part d. The "L" stands for Low - low what? Is there a map that explains where 1-9 and a-f are on the board?

Actually, I worked for a turnkey engineering operation a few years ago that could do just that. But, what sort of patent and copyright trouble would it be? They could take them apart and build something very similar. They are set up with the right equipment. I was even thinking about some sort of re...

I wanted to change the actual touchpad so that it was the dvorak keys on top. I had one member tell me about printing the keys on high gloss paper which might work. I was curious if anyone knew about the actual electronics underlying the top touchpad. I had a DVORAK board that short circuited out la...
