How does one open up the pads?
My USB cord has frayed where it comes out of the pad and rhe terminal plug is slowly getting rusty despite continuous maintenance on it (using steel wool).

TouchStream LP Querty + iGesture for sale
I am, with great reluctance, offering up my last TouchStream LP for sale, along with my last iGesture pad. The LP is in near perfect condition, with the original wrist-rest pads and the aluminum stand. No scratches, no worn lettering or graphics on the the tablets or the stand. The USB cable is near...

Re: Two TouchStreams and one of the mini boards for Sale
Not quite Mars. My GF and I have decided to buy a sailboat and liveaboard. While the one we are seriously looking at is a nice one, an Inlander Freeport 41, and fairly roomy as sailboats of that size go, it's still pretty limited. Neither of us wants to have a storage locker, we figure if we aren't ...

Two TouchStreams and one of the mini boards for Sale
Hi all, whoever's left. I have three of the Touchstream LPs and one of the minis. My lifestyle is likely going to be changing in the near future, to one that does not allow much storage of things that don't get used regularly and so I am thinking of selling two of the TSLPS and the mini. I definitel...

Re: I'm Baaaaack.
So the programming software does not work on, say Windows 7 or 8? If so, that's a bummer. Though I think I remember something from a long while ago about programming the boards in an older OS and then they'd work just fine in the newer ones. I may well be wrong. Some of those adventures involved hea...

I'm Baaaaack.
Hi Folks, After a long lapse and many adventures, I'm back. Hopefully for good. Still have three TouchStreams and one iGesture. Not using them currently, mostly due to space limitations, but hope to change that in the near future. And get back into programming them with both AutoCAD and Sketchup comm...

Its clear this was a big issue at one time. Too bad FW never took the step. Too bad they got gobbled. As far as the warranty goes, that's a dead issue. We have the information needed to separate the cases though looking at that one solution with the DigiKey connectors and the 26 conductor cable inbe...

Please post the url and part number for that ribbon cable. Do they have longer cables, as I am contemplating a custom set up with the left and right panels separated substantially more than stock. On that subject, does anybody know if there are any potential problems with a longer cable? This is par...

Sort of off-topic, but ivanw, were you meaning "touches" as in the contact of one body to another or "touches`s' as in "Engarde! ... (clash ....clash ... clash) ... touche`!". If the former, I am guessing a "stream of touches" would be rather erotic, if the latter, then I have the very disturbing vi...

ivanw, have no fear for your afterlife, any, even the least, good done for FW technology will more than cancel out any demerits incurred for working with/on Windows. Its the principle of the greater good and anything that coolacizes FW products more than they already are is more than just cause for ...

There's always hope. Keep your eyes open and watch eBay. There's usually a item every week. However, its highly unlikely there will be a new driver for Windows. Beyond just the technical issues, there are legal ones as well. As for any other company taking the reins, that's even more unlikely due to...

Do better? Well of course he could, he's got the boys, he's got the FW patents and presumably he's got all the remaining FW stock plus whatever got sent in for refund in lieu of repair. He could have been producing MacinMultitouchStream products as early as last June, all they had to do was build th...

No need for anything else. Just apply successive coats and build it up gradually. Let each coat cure fully (maybe 15 to 20 minutes). I've covered large areas of metal with the stuff. Its really almost like duct tape and vice grips and should be part of every general tool kit. Hint: The same stuff is...

They couldn't just use the Mac-n-Touch, already complete and working, no siree, got to do it the hard way. Reinvent the wheel from scratch. I guess they can't risk the notion of Apple not having invented everything that's really 'cool'. I wonder the FW boys are content to see all their work being as...

Michael - You might take a look at some of the liquid plastic products. Or liquid electrical tape. Its a goo that can be painted on whatever that cures on contact with air and forms a very good seal with excellent flexibility. It will bond to nearly anything. Just make sure you clean it well first w...

Whoa Katz, nice find with this little kitty. Quite cool indeed.
Its not a TS replacement but combined with Stroke-It and AutoKey and several of the other items we've dug up, it could do a credible imitation.

Will your band be named the Fingers? If so, might I suggest the ubiquitous gesture such a name brings to mind for adoption as your logo as a symbol of your defiance of the 'normal' world?
