mapping on numpad
I've been away for a while so this is a bit belated. Just wanted to thank TorbenGB and ivanw for their efforts in trying to help me map a double 0 on my numpad. I tried both methods and still could not get it to work...... my 'real' work is keeping me too busy to play around any more at this stage b...

I am on a steep learning curve here. Firstly to test mapping a key on the iGesture numpad, I opened the FW retro numpad file to see how they wrote the code. An example for the number 4 is: <TapArea xcenter="6.1" ycenter="3.9" isRectangular="true" width="1.9" height="1.9" macro_name=" 4 " layoutConte...

Key mapping on the iGesture numpad
Thanks for the thought ivanw, But is a bit beyond my capabilities....I don't really want to remap any of the existing keys as I use them all....but if it was possible I would like to map the blank space between 'up arrow' and '1' as a double 00 key (similar to the factory mapping of the blank space...

My experience with the 2030
I've been using the TypeMatrix 2030 Dvorak for some months now (after missing the boat wth the TS). I concur with most (just about all) of Shawn's extensive review. I couldn't imagine going back to a standard keyboard and I am also waiting for the day when mainstream manufacturer's realise the impro...

Looking for an iGesture Numpad
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can buy an iGesture numpad? Or does anyone know of any retailers with stock left?
Thanks

Typematrix EZ-Reach 2030
My EZ-Reach 2030 arrived this morning. After a only a couple of hours I am already used to the key layout. My opinion: I love it :) The keys have a really nice tactile feel, I like the grid layout of keys, and because of its compactness, I have been able to bring my iGesture into a much better reach...

Touchstream in Australia
I posted 2 PM replies (chumpboy and Peter70) with the URL of the website that still had a Touchstream.
Would be interested if either of you were successful.......and I will never know what I missed out on, having never used a Touchstream
If only I had discovered Finger Works 6 months earlier!

Not sure if this helps
Firstly I am in Australia. I was going to buy a Touchstream DVORAK just as Fingerworks closed. The only ergonomic reseller that sells (sold) Fingerworks products in Australia had only two items left: An iGesture pad A QWERTY touchstream (their description: colour black?) I bought the iGeture pad as ...

Which keyboard?
For me, I'm going to try the Typematrix EZ-Reach 2030 http://www.typematrix.com/ezr2030/ in DVORAK. I have shoulder problems from 'reaching' when using a normal size keyboard. The EZ-Reach is compact unlike other ergonomic boards, and having just learned to touchtype in DVORAK, I cannot go back to Q...

Touchstream LP
This is brand new *in the box* from an Australian re-seller.
I am leaning towards purchasing this - will it make my new iGesture obsolete?

To buy Touchstream LP or not
I am a new owner of an iGesture pad - great product. I primarily use my a mouse (or now iGetsure) for my computer work. I had not thought about getting a Touchsteam LP but with Fingerworks closing down and with all the talk about buying the *last* Touchstreams by die-hard fans, I am now wondering wh...

Ask Wayne
I think if we want to know specific details, we need to ask concise questions. From my earlier reply from Wayne, I get the impression that *they* aren't/can't speak about the details of the sale/takeover of the company. Hence the vague answer I posted from Wayne under "Shedding Light on Fingerworks"...

I just received a (very prompt) reply for my e-mail to Wayne Westerman, in which I asked him: "Have you sold the company and will your product line be taken up and continued by another business?" His reply: I wish manufacturing had continued or shutdown had gone smoother, but if we all cross our fin...

Shedding light on Fingerworks?
While surfing, I came across the following site (I believe last updated 1 June 05) http://www.outsearchinc.com/about.aspx It is a site for Coates Analytics Group (provides Financial Distribution Intelligence)........ Jeffrey White was most recently the CEO and Chairman of FingerWorks, Inc. a private...

A Fingerworks explanation would be helpful
I too would like some sort of explanation as to what happened. The technology is good (no question there), some say the products were pricey but I don't think that was prohibitive. Lots of things are pricey, the individual just makes a decision if they think the product is worth the price - and lots...

Should I buy an iGesture now?
Hi, I am new to this forum and was about to buy an iGesture pad (the only one available in Australia that I know of) when I discovered Fingerworks has closed down.....just my luck, I finally find what looks to be a great product and then they want to stop making it?? I am now in the dilemma of wheth...
