Bad news, the repairs were at first successful, but after two weeks the upper left side of the keyboard started failing again. Sometimes it is dead, sometimes it comes alive with hiccups (looking like statics, even though i have it on an an static mat)"
my hopes are looking daunting right now...

Dead Touchstream LP Fully Repaired
Dear All, My Keyboard was completely dead. Thanks to the info in this forum, and to two very skilled electrical engineers we managed to bring it back to life. It turned out to be two things: 1) the FPGA's got de-programmed, so loading the codes solved 80% of the problem. The codes can be obtained by...

However, they are named xilinx1.jed and xilinx2.jed. i dont know which one should be loaded on the right hand side fpga and which oneonthe lwft one. I am afraid on trying them, since a wrong config file could potentially damage the hardware. No...

Hi, I work in an observatory in the Atacama Desert, at high altitude. Very dry and cold indeed, and everytime I came here my keyboard went crazy. Thanks to the forum I found out the cause of the death of my second keyboard, and why this one I still have used to go crazy for weeks everytime I came he...

Re: User Poll: Are you still using your FingerWorks device?
I also use my LP daily, and bought a second used one on eBay in 2008. It came faulty, and then got worse, probably after some static discharge. Is there still no alternative in the market ? I bought an iPAD hoping it would help relieving the typing load out of my hands, but I found the keyboard rath...

Re: Fruitful TouchStream Repair Tactics
Luckily the FPGAs did not have the read protect bit set and we were able to read the codes off them. I have them stored for future reference. I have some very skilled colleagues that could help me with replacing the FPGA, but would need the code for reprogramming the new one. Does anyone has the FP...
