After so many years of service, my touchstream keyboard stand has started to fall apart. Mainly the gel pads. Has anyone got a stand they no longer need or can recommend replacement gel pads?

It seems everyone thinks the worst, but here's what I think: DVORAK didn't sell as well as QWERTY, so they are dumping the inventory -- either via Apple, or per contract, via Fingerworks. I do believe they have them, but I also think the lead times are despicable. But, supply and demand being what ...

I have an inkjet color printer, which has the benefit that I can make colored paper overlays, but with the downsides you mention. Perhaps one should experiment with printing on overhead foils of varying texture to see if that's a closer match to the original surface? I have not done this myself bec...

To reiterate, try reflashing your device on another PC. I have one PC that seems unable to reflash my Touchstream (and reports similar errors to the ones you have described), but on another PC I can upgrade the firmware without problems. Odd.

When I do it, it brings up "the history of torture through the ages" - QWERTY keyboards spring to mind, and for many a Touchstream ends torture through reduction of RSI symptoms. It is also 'torture' for many, not being able to buy Touchstreams any more. Somewhat ironic ...

Thank you for the interesting observations. It does indeed look like some settings may be overriding the programmers' pad setting. Perhaps it is time to do some more playing around. The only problem is that my home PC doesn't seem to like reprogramming the Touchstream. I'll see how I go. I have a QW...
