David, I think you are running in XP Mode, which means the utilities are still run in the XP machine, the display of the app is just redirected to the Win7 desktop where Win7 controls the window format. I had two primary devices, one broke and I bought another. Rather than having it suffer the same fate, I am reselling it (hopefully not at a loss, but if only one bidder, at a loss). I will probably resell the broken device too, since it is semi-functional and good for spare parts.

If only I had $800 to risk or blow, that seems like a double-your-money propositon (with patience, of course, assuming demand doesn't drop off). Alternatively, I could mount one on either side of every keyboard I have to get TS-like functionality and still have spares.

I think it is 1 for 800. The description shows what you get and states 1 of ... for several things including the keyboard. I imagine the seller meant to list all 8 at $800 each (in a single listing where you can buy any quantity up to the 8 available) and didn't get something quite right.

The picture on that auction is a TouchStream ST, not an LP. I don't know what is compatible between them, but I know the ribbon cable is different and removing and replacing it would probably be more of a pain, plus finding a replacement probably would too.
