Re: and another Kickstarter project with promise
Hah, just realised that they put quite a few videos, one using ASETNIOP, online. See ractivtech on YouTube.

Re: and another Kickstarter project with promise
Let me know if this is a update for backers only but here they are talking about using the Haptix with the ASETNIOP method. I have also played with their software and I must say it is quite impressive to see how it recognises my fingers using just the iSight on my Mac. I know there is a Win version ...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine
What I also tried with no success: Extracted all files in the Fingerworks software package, and then directed Windows Hardware recognition to the driver *.inf file (\setupfw160\Resource1\C_\dk\jusb\bin\wxp\inf\fingerworks.inf) But Windows 7 complained that this is not a 64-bit driver.... It seems t...

Re: and another Kickstarter project with promise
Haptix is delayed by yet another month....earliest shipping date is now end of June. My Touchstream broke a few weeks ago and I am now surrounded by tablets and other input devices but nothing comes even close. I guess the closest are AirKeyboard and BetterTouchTool with the Apple Touchpad but ... O...

Re: and another Kickstarter project with promise
I haven't used either though I will be using the Haptix
Interesting about your experience, Nomaded. I wonder whether it will be the same with the Haptix; I hope not.

Re: and another Kickstarter project with promise
Yes, you are right. When I posted this here I had not realised yet that it is a Chinese project and it raised the same concerns though I ended up backing it anyway. Reading through the description gave me the feeling it has a degree of customisation that other similar products (eg. Leap) lack, like ...

If this turns out to be really good though, it might well be snatched up by Apple or buried in patent cases

Re: wow - just fell over this :)
I haven't tried it properly yet (I did play around a bit with the demo but it is impossible without a keymap) so don't know yet how useable it really is... A long time ago, I got the original FrogPad but Murphy was there too and so when one of my hands did stop working it ended up being the wrong ha...

wow - just fell over this :)
I don't quite know where to post it but it is definitely news even though not Fingerworks news :) Have a look at this movie . It is a promotional video showing the magic trackpad being used as a keyboard :) I think I'll get this in the next few days before Apple with their <censored> patenting and p...

Re: fingerworks.com gone :(
I sent a request to Apple asking whether they'd be prepared to let us have the domain and what conditions, if any, they'd put on the use of it. Maybe there is a chance

fingerworks.com gone :(
Google alerted me to this and it seems really gone now....last year, it came back up after a day or so but now....
I was wondering when that moment would come but find myself still disappointed now it has arrived.

I agree with Jason as well. I will stick wih the LP and the mini until they stop working, all while looking for replacements. I have TOS and I am slowly losing the use of my pinky and ring finger. I had to change from a "normal" keyboard to something else a few years ago and found the LP and when it...

I might be able to help out. Haven't said anything sofar because I am a bit worried about the legal situation. I am running my own business and if the new owners wanted to, they could get me into troubles. What I thought of, however, is to have a closed space for the people who need things. Say....h...

In the course of setting up my new mini, I fell over a library that may help in this context. To be found here . It is called "both_hands_pointNdrag_lib" and I think it may actually do what was asked here. Maybe one of you from the old forum may remember how it was used because I don't anymore? chee...

Thank you for the responses. Meltones Media didn't bother to respond which I took as a "no" :) but ngit.at had 4 on stock of which there are now 3 left :D They will not accept CC but money transfer seems to work fine and they did not take advantage of the situation. The price listed is EURO plus 20%...

Looking for a Mini
Hello everybody The title says it all, really. My health has deteriorated and it looks like I will be forced to start typing one-handedly. The reason for getting the LP was to get used to typing with 0 force and, if and when the moment arrived, to be able to switch to a mini without too much fuss an...
