Vim Gesture Sets

(...this is a rebuild of one of my vanished old posts) http://www.vim.org/images/just_vim_it_animated_click.gif ...what about starting the endless task of building a nice Vim Gesture Set :?: I am a very new TS user, but it is not the case with ed!/vi/vim. These tools helped me survive for more than...

Next step towards an effective keyboard - collector

Intro: It seems likely that we won't get any information from the team in charge of taking over the future of the Fingerworks technology  This means that this forum is a one-way data flow. So be it! In this case, the best we can do, aside of pointless speculation as to who/what/why the :twist...

Dynamic feedback

How to feedback :?: After getting used to type on a TouchSrean keyboard, it feels quite insane having to cope with the height of mechanical keyboard keys. It makes your fingers spring so much higher than on the TS! So why everybody here perform faster with these antics? The major problem with the T...

What I think it needs is an infinitesimally raised border around each key. One which would not prevent the easy slide of the fingers during gestures, but which would prevent the drifting off of the home keys during touch-typing. This makes sense too. Your infinitesimally raised border mention cares...

Reach no more: TapArea customization

Based on an original idea from The Juggler I started the evaluation of a true layout customization. It is interesting to note that Fingerworks could not go too far from well known layouts and that, when you play with MygestureEditor, you are not limited to do anything of the kind. You can do just wh...

I found something relevant in this FWSF thread: ⋅  http://forums.fingerworks.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20&highlight=bad+sensors :!: LARGE blocks of 'bad sensors' always requires repair! In general, if the diagnostics EVER reports exactly 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 160, 320, 640 or 12...

Good finding, these documents, thanks to Rqyteqto.
But for this , I can tell you that, even if it's much more lengthy, the is also more interesting to read, look at figures, ...and understand :!:

Although I can't help you, I thought it could bring some good feeling to know that some are looking over you shoulders. I think that in the near future, chances are that you won't be the only one who has to do that. I'm wondering about how far you can go. As a former electronics tech, I have always ...

Re: Thanks...

Unfortunately, this means that I have two TouchStreams with defective right halves. Not good. I don't think so, odds you had bad luck twice the same way are very unlikely, I feel that more has to be considered for a conclusion. I am afraid it might not be as simple as a faulty solder connection -- ...

Cannot get DFU mode device

I had this kind of problem the first time I plugged the TS on my ASUS P2B-DS Motherboard running Windows XP. The solution has been to plug it on a PCI USB controller. Did you check FW Support forums threads? This one tells the same story (with Linux though) :  Worked fine for a bit and now 'c...

It appears that this *keyboard* is able to give you way more than what you got from your tablet... Aside from a mean to relocate every symbol near the home row like I did, mode activation chords allow you to get different output from each and every key. This makes A LOT of combinations  As an ...

Re: If only my Q were quute.

So I take it if the 'xcenter' and 'ycenter' or the 'xradius' is not defined, its value defaults to zero (or '1' in the case of 'xradius') It looks this way. All this reverse-engineering makes us equals for the guesswork. I also assume the units are not related to any measurement system, but are ess...

TWiki page editing locks

I intend to dig a bit further in those places where I've just dropped by while playing with the editor. You definitely need to edit the XML files to cheat on MyGestureEditor. But XML is the most frendly mean you can use to talk to a computer, no kidding: no guessing game here...
