Windows XP installed in RAM What is that? That is this . A SATA RAM drive onto which I have installed WindowsXP ;) Boot time is exactly nine seconds (after P.O.S.T.), making a backup image of the system drive takes exactly 15 seconds (because my data hard drive is so slow ;) and the rest of the OS ...

Pretty Looks

Hehe, it took Apple only seven years to re-create something that kind of reminds of the iGesture Pad  Probably it will take another ten years until the new "Magic Trackpad" will get anywhere nearly as powerful as our iGesture Pads have been for almost a decade 8) Cheers David.P

Amazing new text input method - fuzzy typing

If could be adapted to the FW keyboards (or even to mechanical keyboards!) -- would be great IMO.

BetterTouchTool [...] adds all the gestures that the iGesture pad had. Is this TRUE!?? This could become a life-saver for me in the case my stock of iGesture pads runs out after like 30 years time! I hope there is no latency with this bluetooth stuff however. I can't absolutely have more latency th...

Rename gestures all named "empty"

Hi forum, how can I give all those "empty" gestures in the MyGesture Editor meaningful names? http://666kb.com/i/bld2gw4z0fhzbxx4o.png And how come that most of the gestures have green text, only some of them not? (contrary to the screenshot, it's not only the "empty" ones that a...

I welcome the advent of multi-touch interfaces on all sorts of devices, but I do hope that while the technology is still new, people will agree on certain gestures, so that they can be made common and easy to use no matter which device one is using. I think a common set of gestures (at least for th...

Annoying automatic left/right hand recognition, iGesture Pad

Hi forum, is there anything at all anyone can think of that could be done to prevent automatic left/right hand switching by the gesture processor? This happens to me literally hundreds of times a day and disrupts my work process all the time. Maybe it is due to my pinky being rather short compared t...

Re: Annoying automatic left/right hand recognition, iGesture

Aahh Torben, just saw your post by chance (somehow I wasn't notified). Thanks very much, I had not thought about the hand size setting. Actually, this happens literally every minute or so (almost every second or third time I use the thumb-and-pinky "Enter" gesture) and terribly disrupts my...

Re: Annoying automatic left/right hand recognition, iGesture

Thanks -- actually what I've done is I've gotten rid of that Thumb/Pinky gesture altogether. It just would not work reliably (only if the hand size was set way too small for other gestures to still work).

Fortunately, I found an unused gesture that I'm now using for "Enter".

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

Hi guys, I was wondering whether there has been any success installing and using the MultiTouch Utilities in Windows Virtual PC (by Microsoft)? (Actually installing and running the FingerWorks software is no problem -- it just does not recognize the Fingerworks hardware) Thanks for any help! Regards...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

Thanks for your reply, Thorben. You're correct, Windows Virtual PC also has a setting for choosing which USB devices are routed to the virtual machine. However, this doesn't seem to include mice (these are connected to both the host and client automatically, but only as standard PS2 mouse). In below...

Re: Fully working FingerWorks software in a virtual machine

I think you are running in XP Mode, which means the utilities are still run in the XP machine, the display of the app is just redirected to the Win7 desktop where Win7 controls the window format. Yes, Dustin, that is of course correct. What I also tried with no success: Extracted all files in the F...

Re: Annoying automatic left/right hand recognition, iGesture

Guys, I can't believe that (after like years) I'm still suffering very much from this issue all the time.

The pad auto-changes to the left hand literally HUNDREDS of times a day :? :? :?

Any ideas always welcome

Re: Annoying automatic left/right hand recognition, iGesture

Guys, this kills me.

I love my iGesture Pad, but it still does that unwanted hand swap HUNDREDS of times a day (like once every minute or so).

The thing is, i have NEVER managed to evoke the behavior intentionally. But as soon as I forget thinking about it, the behaviour surely starts again.

Re: Annoying automatic left/right hand recognition, iGesture

Thanks Torben, I'll try and do as you propose (if I can find a XP installation somewhere...) Actually I don't think it is a software or hardware problem, since it happens overly often when I'm tired or in a hurry. I could be doing something wrong myself. If I only could FORCE that behavior one singl...
